Those who wish to join the Catholic Church will begin a formal process called the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (or RCIA). RCIA sessions begin in the Fall and culminate at the Easter Vigil when new members are welcomed fully into the Catholic Church and receive the sacraments of Baptism (if needed), 1st Communion and Confirmation.
