Marriage

“Do you promise to be true to each other in good times and bad, in sickness and health, to love and honor each other, all the days of your lives?”

Experiencing the sacrament of matrimony in the Catholic church is very different from a civil wedding (see the video below). To become “sealed and strengthened by God,” the couple needs to prepare for this sacrament, just like parents and godparents that prepare for a baptism or children prepare to receive holy communion or make their first confession or how teens prepare for confirmation.

How a Catholic wedding differs from a civil wedding:

Marriage Preparation

We offer marriage preparation / marriage formation. Couples should plan to register for preparation online or contact the church (360-384-3651) six to nine months before the wedding date to begin preparing for this powerful sacrament that will last the rest of their lives.
