As many around the world struggle with the Coronavirus, Our Tri-Parish community (St. Joseph, St. Anne, and St. Joachim) has not been immune to the effects caused by these recent events. Yesterday’s directive from Archbishop Etienne to suspend all Masses and activities, was an important step in helping slow the spread of the virus. This decision was not taken lightly. It was made from concern for the common good and care of the vulnerable in our community.
This important step will seriously impact our weekly collection. Like most parishes, 90% of our revenue comes from the generous support of our faith community. This generosity supports the basic operations (payroll, utilities, maintenance, etc.) and ministries of our church. This is a good time to remind you that we have several options available for giving electronically in a safe and secure way such as Online giving thru our website or thru bill payer at your financial institution.
The frequency of how you want to give (weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.) and the type of give (debit, credit, EFT, etc.) is up to you. If you do not wish to give online, please consider mailing your weekly stewardship gift, or drop it in the mail slot located to the right of the parish office door. In addition to prayers for the sick and those who care for them, please join us in using this time to pray for an increased love of the Mass and the Eucharist in the entire Archdiocese. Losing Mass is such a shock, because we never thought we would have to do without it. May we never take it for granted again.
